- Work From Home
Work From Home is something that came into trend during the Covid lockdown. But actually, it existed before the lockdowns. In a recent survey, we get to know approx. 90% persons don’t like work from the office concept. Similarly, about 20-25% purely don’t believe in the work-from-home concept.
Considering all the factors TCI has decided to create a hybrid policy that brings the best of both of these worlds to its employees. At TCI, we call it the “Work From Anywhere”.
At TCI– Work From Anywhere
Work from anywhere is the flexible approach of working, where a company or organization empowers their employees to work productively and autonomously from anywhere while remaining aligned and connected virtually with company culture and goals.
- All growth depends upon activity and work. There is no growth and development physically or intellectually without effort, and effort means work.
- Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision however, for that people have to get together either face-to-face or virtually. It is the fuel that allows working people to attain uncommon and specified results.
- People can work from anywhere, anytime, anyhow which also leads to productivity and sustainability.
TCI– Work Culture
Currently, when people are deciding where to apply for jobs, mostly they look for an atmosphere that affirms their goals and values through a healthy work culture. Every workplace has a unique and confined culture. It creates over time through the interactions of the people who work at that place. Work culture can also influence individuals and their work, so it is very important to seek out a workplace where they see their potential for growth.
- Some of the people work better in the office.
- Some are more productive at home.
- And many of them find that we’re most effective when we have many options like from the office, hybrid work culture, and work from home.
In this policy, most of the time employees can work from home. They can even work from anywhere they want. Working from anywhere is a flexible approach to working with high productivity and energy. It supports a better work-life balance. It provides flexibility in schedules due to which they can easily complete their work at the time they feel better.
Our Policy
In TCI, usually, employees work from anywhere. Whereas in every quarter each team will stay for two weeks at residential office locations which will be very different from traditional offices. So it will be like you being on a family vacation with your team and immediate family members such as your spouse or child.
- The team will come to the location and we will provide the accommodation according to that. Where they get a complete homely environment with a designated work area from where they can work with their team.
- Moreover, at this time they will work for five days and on weekends there will be some team activities. Again they have to work for five days and again some activities on the weekend and after that, they can go back home.
- Technical employees work remotely and often visit the office once a quarter for two weeks to interact with the team members.
- Non–technical teams need to visit the office only on a requirement basis to interact with the team and to become proficient in the work.
Location for Home Office
It depends on the team, we will give them some options like the southern part of India, the northern part of India, the pink city, or the IT hub, etc.
So, they will select the option depending upon their whole team’s availability.
Positive points about doing this:
- By doing this, the team will get close and have an outing together. It is a kind of vacation that increases team bonding and collaboration with one another.
- This is something that brings the good of both worlds to the employees.
- Employees working remotely can turn out to be more productive and proven out a real gem to the company.
- It increases job satisfaction and productivity.
- They can prepare their schedule accordingly and give time to their families as flexible working hours are there in the work culture.
- Saving the cost of employees i.e. for house rent, travel expenses, and many more.
- More focus and less tension of work.
- Eliminates geographical limitations and increases career development plans.
- Broad the horizon of exploration and increases sustainable development.
Moreover, there is a meet-up program, where technicals are invited to the office once a quarter to interact with the operations and sales team and the team they are working with. This meet-up program helps them to know each other and make a good bond between them.
